The Great British Shop is a family-owned British Bakery and Grocery, and we're looking for a
Retail & E-Commerce Coordinator
to help manage both our physical shop and online store. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with customers in person while also handling the technical side of online retail.
Key Responsibilities
E-Commerce & Online Shop Duties
Manage the Shopify store
, including product listings, inventory updates, and order processing.
Process and fulfil online orders, ensuring timely and accurate shipping.
Provide friendly and professional customer support via email and social media.
Ensure inventory is
accurately synced
between the retail and online shop.
Set up promotions, discounts, and seasonal sales in Shopify.
Keep the website up to date and troubleshoot minor issues.
Retail Shop Duties
Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a great shopping experience.
Process transactions accurately at the till.
Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels.
Ensure bakery fridges are well-stocked.
Keep the store front clean and tidy.
Assist in packing baked goods for retail sale.
Accurately pack wholesale orders for delivery, ensuring correct quantities and product quality.
Follow specific packaging guidelines for frozen and baked goods.
Label and organize products for efficient distribution.
Maintain a clean and organized packing area.
Collaborate with the team to ensure wholesale orders are completed on time.
Requirements
Shopify experience is required
- ability to manage an online store, update products, and process orders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in
retail, customer service, or order fulfilment
is an asset.
Good organisational skills to keep stock and inventory aligned between online and in-store.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, friendly team.

Well-stocked, colourful shelves that encourage customers to browse.
Bakery display cases should be full, clean, and visually appealing.
Freezers should always be stocked and tidy, avoiding half-empty or disorganized sections.
The store should be spotless--no dust, no flour, no clutter. Clean floors, counters, and displays make all the difference.
Everything should be customer-focused--from the layout of products to the flow of foot traffic.
Creativity & Ownership
This isn't a "just do what you're told" kind of role, we want someone who takes ownership, has ideas, and makes it their own.
