Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team . The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and meat cutting, with a strong emphasis on customer service and food safety. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meat products, ensuring proper handling, and providing excellent service to our customers.

Duties

Perform meat cutting and preparation tasks, including portioning, trimming, and packaging various cuts of meat. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butcher area in compliance with food safety standards. Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to prevent contamination. Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and answering questions regarding different cuts of meat. Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently and maintain inventory levels. Monitor product quality and freshness, discarding any items that do not meet standards. Follow all health regulations and guidelines related to food handling and preparation.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food safety practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in meat preparation. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace.

Pay: $18.00-$35.00 per hour
