Overview

Savory Market & Deli ( previous Tim's meats) is a locally owned butcher and deli shop. we are seeking skilled and reliable butcher/meat cutters to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and possess the necessary skills to prepare meat products and provide good customer service.

Duties

Cut, trim, debone, and portion various meats. Grind meat, prepare sausage, and marinate or season cuts as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat preparation area, adhering to food handling standards. Weigh, package, and label meat and deli products for sale. Assist customers with inquiries about meat products, providing recommendations and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Process phone-in orders from customers. Receive and inspect deliveries, monitor inventory, and rotate stock. Arrange and maintain meat and deli displays.

Requirements

Experience as a butcher, meat cutter, or in a similar food preparation role. Strong knife and cutting skills; familiarity with butchery equipment. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations related to meat handling. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as required. Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently or with a team.

Preferred

Experience in a retail butcher or deli setting. Knowledge of various meat cuts and cooking methods.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
