Chef Joe Friday was born in North Carolina, raised in Okinawa, Japan, and trained in French Cuisine. Educated at the Culinary Institute of America in New York City, Friday has also staged at top restaurants in the US, Japan, Norway and England. Friday Burger Co's first location is located in the heart of downtown Toronto, in the brand new CIBC SQUARE TABLE FARE + SOCIAL on the 4th floor. TABLE is a state of the art culinary destination with some of Toronto's top independent restaurant kiosks. Located 81 Bay Street, near the Scotiabank Area, Union Square, and many office towers, Friday Burger Co will be a food destination for many Torontonians during lunch, dinner and before & after the game!

Responsibilities of a FBC Manager include:
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations, including ordering and inventory management
Monitor and control budgets (labor costs, food and waste costs) along with FBC ownership
Manage FBC Team Members to help maintain and achieve restaurant targets and standards, and coaching FBC Team Members to provide an excellent customer service experience
Set staff work schedules, monitor performance, and conduct performance reviews, recruiting & hiring, training and terminating employees
Understand all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including in depth understanding of our Lightspeed point of sale (POS) and multiple delivery platforms (Ritual, UberEats, DoorDash, etc.)
Spend a reasonable amount of time every shift on the floor supporting and working with employees and looking for ways to improve operations and efficiencies
Address any customer complaints or concerns with respect and dignity
Responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality to our guests while balancing high volume with high quality
Participating in planning and improving ongoing training and development
Follow company policies and procedures for food handling and safety
Other duties which involve the day to day operation of a quick-service restaurant
Job Qualifications
Previous experience in restaurant operations / hospitality and / or food service experience - one year or more. Quick service restaurant experience is preferred
Fluent in English
Ability to learn quickly in fast-paced, high volume environment
Strong management and leadership skills, with experience managing and fostering growth of team members and managing a restaurant's financials
Strong communication skills, time-management and organizational skills with high attention to detail
Open availability and flexibility is a must; ability to work any shift
College or University Education preferred
Access to reliable transportation
Able to legally work in Canada
Lifting and/or moving up to 20 lbs at times
