Tapagria is a vibrant Spanish restaurant in Markham, dedicated to providing guests with authentic Spanish tapas dishes and cocktails in a casual atmosphere. We value hospitality, quality, and a welcoming environment for both our guests and team members. We are looking for a restaurant floor manager overseeing daily operations and to work with our restaurant management team, reporting to the owner.
Job Duties
- Overseeing daily operations including opening and closing of the restaurant and bar
- Manage both boh and foh to ensure service standards
- Attend weekly meetings with the management team and write end of day reports through emails
- Train and assist in hiring staffs, mainly the foh team
- Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations, and maintain food and service quality standards
- Manage inventory and place orders when needed
- Monitor and boost sales
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints and feedback
- Work with influencers or media team occasionally for promotions
- Assist in menu planning and prices
- Handle private celebrations / corporate events being held at the restaurant and be familiar with our PDR package
- Basic server duties included: busing tables, cashing, welcoming guests, managing OpenTable, polishing silverware, serving wines etc.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years as a restaurant manager (floor manager/ foh manager/ daily manager/ operation manager) in an upscale restaurant, preferably a Spanish restaurant
- Familiar with Spanish cuisine and wines
- Proven experience in customer service and restaurant management
- Knowledge in accounting, budgeting and cost control
- Degree in hospitality/ food and beverage or related major is preferred
- Passion in Spanish culture and food and beverage industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead the team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to write professional emails and make professional phone call
- Proficiency with POS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
