Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure, ensuring a positive experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing credit card payments. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders. Prepare food items as needed, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, to process orders and manage inventory effectively. Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness in the cashier area and dining space, ensuring compliance with sanitation guidelines. Assist in food preparation tasks as required, demonstrating knowledge of food handling practices. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Experience

Previous experience in cashiering or food service is preferred, with a strong understanding of the food industry. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS and QuickBooks, is a plus. Basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Experience in serving or kitchen roles is beneficial, showcasing versatility within the restaurant environment. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
