Job Description

We are seeking a fun, outgoing, and compassionate respite worker to support a young adult with autism in community-based activities. This is a highly rewarding position for someone who enjoys building genuine connections, using humor to connect, and making a positive impact.

Responsibilities:

Engage in friendly, meaningful, and lighthearted conversations (sense of humor is a big plus!)

Take the individual to varied community activities (e.g., parks, cafes, libraries, recreation centers, local events)

Drive to and from activities safely and reliably

Provide positive motivation and encouragement

Support the development of social and independent living skills

Ensure safety, comfort, and enjoyment during outings

Requirements:

Must have excellent English communication skills and the ability to connect through humor and genuine conversation

Energetic, personable, and outgoing personality

Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Training will be provided

Must pass a background check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
