Your Opportunity:

This Respiratory Therapy position is based out of the Peace River Community Health Centre in Peace River. This position is a temporary full-time opportunity to work to your full scope of practice in a variety of clinical settings in a rural environment. This includes working with a multidisciplinary team in acute care, long term care and outpatient settings. This position will give you the opportunity to work with clients of all ages as you provide Respiratory Services to the area. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description:

As a Respiratory Therapist II, you will coordinate, monitor and assess clinical services in your assigned area. You will act as a clinical resource for daily operations, coordinating the work of therapy assessment and treatment in your service area, and assist in the development of clinical protocols. You will develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor the progress of patients (clients, residents) receiving advanced respiratory treatment. You will identify new equipment requirements, and establish and maintain adequate levels of supplies and materials for your area. You will be responsible for respiratory equipment, including but not limited to operation, procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance. You will participate in interprofessional patient, client or resident rounds, conferences and meetings where applicable.
