Resources Development Lead - Term until June 2024 (With possibilities of extension) The Resource Development Lead is responsible for coordinating the delivery of key aspects of the SPCO 2023 Community Services Recovery Fund grant, which focuses on establishing, enhancing, and implementing SPCO fundraising and financial management systems. Under the supervision of the Executive Coordinator, the Resource Development Lead will coordinate the work of selecting and implementing a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and implementing new processes for donor relations and financial management. The position will also work with the SPCO fundraising committee to develop a new fundraising strategy and will be responsible for developing and implementing change management approaches related to grant activities. Roles and responsibilities: Working closely with the Executive Coordinator and fundraising committee: Selection and Implementation of a new CRM Lead the selection of a suitable CRM database to support donor, member, and volunteer management, including a needs assessment, research into various products and vendors, and recommendation of a preferred option. Lead the implementation of the CRM, including change management activities such as communication with staff and volunteers and training on the use and maintenance of the system. Develop, implement and monitor donor, member and volunteer management processes, including related financial tracking and database system standards. Resource Development Lead the development of a new fundraising strategy, with contractor support and in coordination with the SPCO fundraising committee. Plan and coordinate various fundraising activities, including recruiting and managing volunteers, to achieve annual revenue targets. Coordinate the activities of the SPCO fundraising committee and related volunteer subcommittees. Research and prioritize current and potential donors and sponsors, and coordinate relationship-building activities with priority donors and sponsors. Participate in planning, writing and editing grant and funding proposals. Other related duties as may be assigned. Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated track record of success in fundraising, fund development and/or community engagement.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Sound technical abilities, including experience with Microsoft Office software applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook) and CRM databases or similar software.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into compelling, strategic, and audience-appropriate material such as presentations, online materials, and written documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to deliver independently on own commitments and to adapt as needed to support the team.
