About the Role

We are looking for a Resource Manager to join our IT Strategy & Planning team. The IT Resource Manager is responsible for optimizing the allocation of IT resources across various IT departments, ensuring that projects, initiatives and work efforts are aligned to corporate priorities.

In this role you will leverage your 5+ years of experience as a Resource Manager and/or Capacity Analyst to work closely with IT Leadership, delivery teams and other stakeholders to forecast and plan for IT resource needs and prioritize resources accordingly. In this role, you will use your strong communication, research and analysis, and business planning skills to evaluate work intake opportunities and analyze market trends and the IT organizations capacity to help make recommendations in line with the integrated IT strategy.

About Your Day

  • Define delivery capacity across IT departments, and work effort dedicated to each OCS business priority and outcome
  • Assess delivery performance to identify bottlenecks, measure resource utilization, and determine system limitations. Recommend changes and optimizations to improve
  • Develop and maintain a capacity plan that forecasts the organization\'s future IT needs based on strategic business direction, historical trends, expected growth, and industry trends
  • Identify and mitigate IT delivery risks associated with IT demand and capacity
  • Develop business cases, feasibility studies, capabilities matrices and cost-benefit analyses related to scaling OCS IT resources according to business priority and industry trends
  • Define, document and validate resource requirements for IT systems and processes, and communicating these to IT and business leaders
  • Develop and implement an IT strategic plan for OCS that aligns with business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT resources based on OCS business strategy and business requirements
  • Liase between the IT department and other business units, and facilitating communication and collaboration on IT-related matters
  • Prepare and present reports to OCS IT and business leaders and other stakeholders
About You

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Technology-related field and/or combination of education and experience
  • Certification in ITIL or related IT service management framework is an asset
  • 5+ years of experience as a Resource Manager or Capacity Analyst
  • Experience with project management and agile methodology is a strong asset
  • Experience with risk management, change management, time management and providing excellent customer service
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong Research and Analysis and Business Planning skills
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian suite (JIRA & Confluence)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Remote Work

  • This position offers a Hybrid work schedule. You will be required to be in the office a minimum of 1 day each week, with the ability to work from home for the remaining workdays (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance).
  • When working from home, a reliable internet connection is required. Remote work is supported with cloud-based applications and collaboration tools (i.e., MS Teams)
