The Resource Centre Supervisor works together with Volunteers and the rest of the Resource Centre team to co-ordinate and facilitate picking up and redistribution of supplies for The Mustard Seed Locations in Calgary, as well as connecting with Donors and representing The Mustard Seed through contacts in the community. The Resource Centre Supervisor leads the team at the Sorting Centre and is responsible under the Foothills Shelter Manger's direction for managing the resources allotted to support the Resource Sorting Centre.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




Development of warehouse procedures and safety protocols. Supervise certified staff in storing, moving pallets of donations on/off warehouse racking with a walkie stacker Communication with donors (inquires by email, phone or text) Lead the Resource Sorting Centre team and volunteers in all their responsibilities; daily project management of tasks Provide leadership, coordinate and build a network of Individual and Group Volunteers to be instrumental in doing the work of the Resource Sorting Centre; Ensure upkeep and maintenance of the Resource Sorting Centre is done; Communicate with and develop relationships with partners that support the Sorting Centre (For exporting clothing etc.); Do 'UKG' for all Resource Sorting Centre Staff Administrate and keep statistics of all resources coming in and out of the Resource Sorting Centre; Communication with Impact Centre, Wellness Centre, Employment, Housing, and the Shelters to facilitate providing whatever donations they need to support their area; Management of the delivery truck schedules to ensure the flow of donations and resources are kept up; Arrange the transfer of food services supplies between the ministry sites; Manage staff and volunteer schedules to keep the Resource Sorting Centre staffed and working well; Be a positive Mustard Seed Ambassador; Required to abide by all Health & Safety protocols including completing a report for all incidents that occur, including near misses, in a timely manner. Other duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS




Warehouse Management/Supervision Pallet Jack and Stacker Class 3 (will train) Excellent Driving record and experience Solid understanding of computers, and Microsoft Office programs Excellent communication skills Excellent organizational skills Solid administrative skills to track, monitor, and report stats accurately Strong team player
