$21.00hr + 6% vacation pay added onto each pay

The Role(s)

Under the direction of the Childcare Service Program Supervisor and Integration Services, the Resource Staff will be responsible to assist regular program staff with the daily responsibilities required for successful integration of children with special needs. The Resource Staff must be creative, flexible, enthusiastic, and enjoy working with children. Direct interaction with the children in all areas of the program and its activities is required. Qualifications

Education

Diploma in Early Childhood Education; OR Equivalent job experience and training.

Screening Requirement

Enhanced Reliability Criminal Record and Vulnerable Screening Information Services (Security Procurement) - IT Assets Vaccination Attestation

Certification / Licenses

The following certifications are not required but would be considered an asset:

Registration (in good standing) with the College of Early Childhood Education CPR & First Aid

Knowledge Requirements

Of Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years - How Does Learning Happen Of Legislation according to the Child Care and Early Years Act of Ontario Of the fundamentals of childhood development Of nurturing a learning and safe environment for children Of community development and information services

Experience Requirements

In compliance to meeting all Ministry Standards as they pertain to the childcare setting In a licensed childcare setting is essential In early childhood education, early learning, or human services field In networking with community resources In working with multi-disciplinary team

Conditions of Employment

Adhere to all PMFRC policies and procedures including policies regarding privacy code and confidentiality. Participate/ assist with all special events when required. Provide proof of any applicable registration with the respective regulatory body if applicable. Ability to provide a clear criminal record check, obtain an enhanced reliability security clearance, and vulnerable sector screening (current within 6 months). Valid Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle for work related travel and requisite driver's insurance. Travel within the County of Renfrew. Thorough understanding of Canadian Armed Forces communities, systems, and policies to effectively assist families in accessing appropriate services and supports.
