This position will be temporarily based in Toronto, ON or Pickering, ON until the move to Headquarters in the Summer of 2025.JOB OVERVIEWOntario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Resource Analyst.Reporting to the Resource & Allocation Supervisor, this position\'s primary responsibility is to coordinate and manage IT resourcing for planned and approved IT and Line of Business (LOB) projects. This position will collaborate with various project stakeholders in planning and allocating the right resources to projects utilizing existing resource management tools and will deal directly with Recruitment Team for staffing requirements.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will contribute to OPG\'s public outreach, engagement and education efforts as part of the company\'s commitment to growing its social license.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Working closely with project managers and resource managers, coordinate and monitor the allocation, utilization and optimization of IT resources to support both planned and approved IT and Line-of-Business projects.
  • Resource demand and capacity planning: Analyze requirements, provide solutions and resolve conflicts to ensure efficient allocation of IT resources to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Reporting: Design and develop resource management reports/visualization using analytics tools, e.g. MS PowerBI.
  • Process Improvement: Provide resource management expertise to continuously improve existing tools and processes to support overall business success.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop operational documents and training materials and provide user training to enforce use of tools and reports
  • User Support: Ensure availability and relevance of data in the application system. Report system issues and assist in resolution of the problem.
  • Business Analysis and Consulting: Participate in meetings and various initiatives to understand and document business needs and support clients through delivery of efficient tools, processes and procedures.
EDUCATION
  • 4-year university degree in business administration or computer science.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires a minimum of 6 years\' experience and up to and including 8 years\' experience as a Resource Analyst or similar role
  • Resource Management: Working experience in resource management including documenting and rolling out processes and software solutions
  • Business Analysis: Experience in requirements gathering, design, testing and end-user support for system solutions and business processes
  • Analytics: Experience in developing and supporting resource management reports
  • Strong knowledge in planning and execution of testing of Software Solutions
  • Proficient in creating PowerPoints presentations and comfortable presenting to 50+ people, both in-person or in an online meeting
  • Working experience with MS Visio
  • Working experience with MS PowerBI reports development (preferred)
  • Working experience with ServiceNow primarily for Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) module (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and ability to solve problems considering out of the box approach
