The Opportunity
We're looking for a smart, adaptable, and service-minded Human Resources Analyst to join our People and Culture team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys solving problems, and brings both precision and empathy to their work. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, the HR Analyst is the first point of contact for many employee and manager questions, while also leading the day-to-day delivery of payroll, benefits, and HR processes.
As Human Resources Analyst, you will be responsible to:
Manage end-to-end payroll in collaboration with our external vendor, ensuring payments, remittances, and deductions are accurate and on time
Administer benefit plans, monitor eligibility, and support the reconciliation and invoicing process
Provide diligent support to employees and managers, offering thoughtful guidance on HR policies, collective agreement language, and workplace issues like leaves, accommodations, and attendance
Contribute to the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to training and offboarding
Maintain employee records and ensure our HRIS is accurate, organized, and audit-ready
Develop HR reports and insights that support data-driven planning and organizational decisions
Support the rollout and delivery of people programs that improve the employee experience and keep operations running smoothly
Ideal Candidate
You are:
A quick learner with strong analytical skills who thrives in a dynamic environment and can confidently manage shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
People-centered and approachable, with a clear, respectful communication style and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
Thoughtful and solutions-oriented, with a strong grasp of payroll and HR processes, a commitment to service, and a natural drive to improve how things work
Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through a combination of:
Post-secondary education in human resources, business administration, or a related field
Two to four years of progressive HR experience, with direct involvement in payroll, benefits administration, and HR advisory support
Practical experience working with HRIS platforms, interpreting policies or collective agreements, and supporting both employees and leaders in a service-oriented environment
