We are seeking a qualified

year-round Resort Managers at Camp Conewango.

The successful candidates will be maintaining property operations by attracting and serving guests, upholding resort appearance and infrastructure maintenance, and ensuring we meet or exceed company goals.

They are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the resort, ensuring camp sites and cottages are filled, all financial transactions are properly handled, the property and infrastructure are well maintained and customers have a great experience.

They are also responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall functioning of all campground facilities: including camp owned cabins, and camp sites, communal buildings such as restrooms, equipment, and grounds. This hands-on position ensures the safety, cleanliness, and operability of all areas to provide a positive experience for campers and staff.

The ideal candidates are proactive problem-solvers who can work independently and lead seasonal and part time staff. This position is year round. During the winter, the managers will work in / manage the restaurant, as well as perform other duties.

Skills:



You enjoy interacting and working with people including staff, guests, and contractors and you understand the complexities of the daily tasks in this type of environment. Managers will need to fulfill the requirements of both the administration and maintenance roles. Between the two people, you have experience in administration, customer service and property maintenance. Previous experience in a campground or resort management / maintenance would be considered an asset.

Administration Role:



The Administrative role is the face of the business. You are responsible for customer service, reservation management, financial transactions, communications, record keeping, and supervision. You have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.

You have excellent administration skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate where necessary and manage multiple job functions. You understand the impact of social media in the hospitality business and can maintain social media accounts. You are experienced in computer operations with strong expertise in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and have the ability to learn reservations software.

Key Responsibilities:



Present a positive, energetic attitude with a desire to please guests and motivate staff. Responsible for overall operation of the store and office. Record and manage reservations. Accept payments from customers. Ensure payments are received on time and recorded. Greet guests and manage check in / check out procedures Respond in a timely manner to guest and prospective guest inquiries. Through social media and traditional marketing and activities, work to increase reservations and occupancy and further promote the camp and cottages. Work with the owners to draft marketing plans. Receive and resolve guest complaints. Coordinate casual and part time employee selection and training while ensuring all team members comply with appropriate policies and operational procedures. Work with the park owner to quickly and effectively address issues that could adversely affect the operation of the park or guest satisfaction. Enforce park's rules and regulations. Help plan and administer camp activities. Monitor and reconcile cash income and expenses. Balance daily income and prepare bank deposits. Take deposits to the bank, as needed. A driver's license is required.

Maintenance Role:



The Maintenance role is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall functioning of all campground facilities: including camp owned cabins, and camp sites, communal buildings such as restrooms, equipment, and grounds. This hands-on role ensures the safety, cleanliness, and operability of all areas to provide a positive experience for campers and staff. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can work independently and lead seasonal maintenance staff.

Key Responsibilities:



Inspect, repair, and maintain camp owned cabins, campsites and hookups, washrooms, lodge, and recreational buildings. Ensure HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems are functioning safely and efficiently. Perform carpentry, painting, minor construction, and general repairs as needed. Maintain camp roads, trails, lawns, and landscaping. Clear debris, manage tree trimming, and ensure pathways are safe. Handle seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf clearing, and site preparation. Monitor and maintain water systems, septic tanks, and waste disposal. Check and maintain backup generators, propane tanks, and gasoline tanks and pump. Conduct routine safety checks of all facilities and equipment. Keep up-to-date records of maintenance tasks and inspections. Order materials as needed and track maintenance budgets. Train, and supervise seasonal maintenance assistants. Assign daily tasks and oversee work quality.

Qualifications:



Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or related trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry). Strong knowledge of campground systems and maintenance needs. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve under time constraints. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Performing physical tasks regularly and capable of lifting 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Strong organizational and communication skills. Valid driver's license (required); ability to operate maintenance vehicles and equipment (e.g., mower, tractor). Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings during peak season.

Preferred Skills:



Experience in seasonal facility openings and winterizations. Basic knowledge of septic and water treatment systems. Willingness to obtain required certifications. Experience supervising staff or coordinating with vendors. Ability to set boundaries and work within self motivated prioritization
