Based in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, Common Ground is a new, unique service provider, supporting individuals with various disabilities and mental health challenges in a living environment that is person-centered, empowering, and fulfilling for both clients and personal-support workers. Disability care and support is a quickly evolving field, and we believe that being at the forefront of this change is exciting and extremely important. Our organization is derived from a common goal: we believe that all voices, especially those in our care, should be involved in a continuous dialogue when it comes to choice and well-being.
Our goal is to empower our employees to learn, take on new responsibilities, and grow with us. We offer room for advancement within our expanding organization for those with an interest in compassionate and progressive models of care.
We work to achieve inclusive spaces both inside and outside the home by advocating on behalf of our participants.
We are in continuous conversation regarding participants' right to make choices and live as independently as possible, balancing this with various levels of risk.
Common Ground is dedicated to building and fostering relationships within our communities. We aim to meet our participants where they are presently in their lives, adapting our compassionate environment to their needs.
