Job Summary


Housing and Campus Connections operates and coordinates a wide range of vital campus services, from residence and housing to food service to summer accommodations. Reporting to the Manager, Front Desk Operations, the Residence Front Desk Supervisor ensures consistent processes and standards for the front desk both during the academic year and the summer accommodations season.


Key Responsibilities


Assists with the academic year check-in and check-out process for the LeMarchant Place residence. Completes all pre-arrival requirements for academic residents to check in including, preparing mailboxes, preparing key packages, and ensuring room status is clean in KX. Maintains the key inventory system, completes weekly cash deposits, supervises laundry coin collection, and receives and sorts mail and parcel deliveries for building residents. Assists with transitioning the front desk operations and staff from Conference and Event Planning operations to Academic front desk operations, and vice versa. Responsible for efficient and accurate customer service for guests under Conference Services summer accommodations, including ensuring all pre-arrival requirements for conferences and summer clients are accurate and complete. Acts as a front line resource, answers inquiries from residents, guests, parents, facilities trades staff, as the front desk is a hub for information. Supervise, train and support student staff, ensuring adherence to proper procedures and addressing issues as needed.



Note


Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.




Required Qualifications


Business or Office Administration program, plus three years' related work experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience). Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization and time management skills. Experience with handling cash is required along with knowledge of effective cash controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience working in a busy environment, with regular interruptions.



Assets


Experience working in a conference and events or residence operation. Experience with KX or a similar system.
