Job Summary:
The Evening Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during the evening hours. This includes supervising staff, handling guest requests and concerns, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and ensuring excellent customer service is delivered at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support evening front desk team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Oversee the check-in and check-out process, ensuring compliance with hotel procedures and standards.
Resolve guest issues and complaints promptly and professionally.
Monitor the lobby and front desk area to maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
Handle room inventory and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance as needed.
Complete nightly audit procedures or assist night auditor if needed.
Ensure proper cash handling, including verifying cash drops and balancing drawers.
Train and mentor front desk staff to uphold customer service standards.
Serve as the Manager on Duty during evening shifts in absence of senior management.
Prepare reports and communicate shift information to other departments and management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in hospitality is a plus).
Minimum 1-2 years of front desk or customer service experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to communicate in French and English
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
Proficient in hotel PMS (Property Management Systems), Microsoft Office, and email communication.
Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
