Job Title: Research Technician INeoVentures Biotechnology Inc.is a private research company located in London Ontario and the global leader in aptamer discovery and applications. The application of aptamers in diagnostics and therapeutic by the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry is expanding exponentially. Our client base is global, but primarily focused in Europe and the U.S.NeoVentures is hiring a Research Technician I position to join our growing team of researchers. We are looking for someone with lab experience, good pipetting skills, the ability to follow experimental protocols, perform mathematical calculations easily, and who can multi-task in order to maintain high productivity without compromising the quality of the results. At NeoVentures we are developing the health care tools that will be used tomorrow. We want team members that are committed and exited about improving health care.Responsibilities

• Perform Aptamer selection protocols
• PCR amplification and troubleshooting problems
• Perform standard molecular biology assays such as DNA and protein gel electrophoresis.
• Prepare samples and reagents and general laboratory procedures
• Read, understand, and execute protocols and SOPs
• Compile experimental and analytical data, prepare reports.

Qualifications:

• Applicants should have excellent record keeping skills and enjoy solving problems.
• Hands on laboratory experience
• Ability to convert calculations between moles, molarity, parts per million with ease.
• Ability to perform at a high level without compromising quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Hands on lab experience.
• BSc. or MSc. in molecular biology or related field.

• 2 year minimum of lab experience.
