Department Description: We welcome applications for a Research Coordinator to work in a dynamic and growing lab, led by Clinician Scientist and PI, Dr. Daisy Singla, at the Lunenfeld Tanenbaum Research Institute. In this role, the successful candidate will work on research projects focused on promoting access to brief, evidence-based psychological treatments. This includes the large, multi-site trial referred to as the Scaling Up Maternal Mental healthcare by Increasing access to Treatment (SUMMIT) study, funded by PCORI. The aim of the trial is to examine scalable models to improve evidence-based psychological treatments for perinatal depression and anxiety. The Research Coordinator will report to the Study Principal Investigator (Dr. Daisy Singla). Responsibilities of the Research Coordinator include but are not limited to:
Assist in monitoring large study budgets
Prepare and monitor financial requests and trackers
Prepare and revise Research Ethics Board applications
Coordinate team personnel, including day to day tasks
Interact and organize communication with various departments including psychiatry, obstetrics and finance
Facilitate study organization and communication
Monitor and maintain deadlines and schedules
Prepare written correspondence, reports and presentations using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Requirements:
Successful completion of a University degree in a relevant field. Masters degree preferred.
Past experience coordinating multiple aspects of a trial
Prior experience working with large research grant budgets
Prior experience preparing Research Ethics Board applications required. Experience with Clinical Trials Ontario is preferred
A minimum of two years of recent and related experience in a research environment, preferably in a hospital setting
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with a team with demonstrated verbal and written skills
Superior organizational and time management skills
Self-directed with an ability to make decisions and to exercise good judgement
Demonstrated professionalism and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
