Job Description

Choosing Wisely Canada (CWC) is a national campaign for reducing unnecessary tests and treatments in health care. CWC inspires and engages health care professionals to take leadership in reducing unnecessary tests, treatments, and procedures, and enables them with simple tools and resources that make it easier to choose wisely.

Choosing Wisely Canada is currently looking for a Research Coordinator I. This position will provide a wide range of support for multiple CWC campaign activities. Tasks may include providing administrative support to team members, helping with the coordination of campaign initiatives, and assisting in content development of campaign materials.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of meetings and presentations and provide logistical support (e.g., develops agenda and power point presentations, records meeting notes, books meeting rooms, sets up audio-visual equipment, orders catering)
  • Organize activities for team members, including scheduling appointments, meetings, conferences, and other engagements based on an understanding of prior commitments and priorities
  • Help coordinate travel and logistics for CWC-related events
  • Coordinate online webinars hosted by CWC
  • Interacting with multiple partners and stakeholders on a national and international level
  • General office duties e.g., mailings, courier services, ordering supplies, maintaining inventory
  • Collection, transcription, and entry of campaign related data into the CWC database
  • Conducting literature searches
  • Assist in the development of CWC campaign materials and website content (writing, copy-editing)
  • Produce professional, accurate, and complete documents generated or required by the team in a timely manner
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in communications or healthcare related field)
  • Previous experience in administration and project coordination
  • Preference will be given to candidates fluent in French (reading and writing)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail when composing, typing, and proofing materials
  • Ability to independently solve problems
  • Superior organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a timely manner and flexibility to adapt to changing workload
  • Professionalism and self-motivation
  • Good personal and program time/detail management skills
  • Ability to independently manage specific tasks as required
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database, and online webinar platforms
  • Experience in the use of Adobe Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, InDesign) is an asset
