As ATB\'s next Research & Insights Analyst, you\'ll be an integral part of ATB Business\' Strategy & Performance Enablement team. We\'re a small but mighty team inside ATB\'s commercial banking division, providing vital insights to drive business strategy and refine the client experience. You\'ll work to illuminate market trends that are impacting Alberta businesses, uncover areas of opportunity for ATB to improve our value proposition, and help tell the stories found in internal and external data so that our business partners and senior leaders can make decisions based on the best and most up-to-date knowledge.

• Utilize strong research skills to deepen our understanding of provincial, national, and international trends impacting Alberta businesses and ATB.
• Dive into internal and external datasets to develop a comprehensive understanding of our clients\' experience and where it can be improved.
• Apply modelling and analysis to key economic indicators to provide short and long term forecasts for key sectors.
• Gather insights and uncover important trends in ESG and the competitive landscape we operate in.
• Combine quantitative and qualitative analysis and research findings into actionable insights.
• Translate complex concepts and data-based findings into digestible briefings for diverse audiences via written reports, engaging presentations, and easy to use dashboards.
• Work closely with team members in analytical and strategy development roles to drive business results.

Requirements:

• A university degree with a focus in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Engineering
• Have a strong working knowledge of Excel, Google Workspace (formerly GSuite) including Data Studio. Experience using other BI tools such as Tableau or Looker considered an asset.
• Demonstrated experience working with quantitative and qualitative datasets to derive insights and make recommendations.
• Strong research abilities; able to quickly locate relevant and reputable sources to determine industry trends and other opportunities/challenges for ATB & our clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Come with an analytical mind and be prepared to use evidence and facts to challenge the status quo and prevailing wisdom.
• Be able to effectively prioritize and manage your time with minimal supervision.
• Have a strong sense of personal accountability demonstrated by taking pride in your work and ensuring that deliverables are of the highest quality.
