About the Role

Research & Development Engineer

West-End Halifax HQ & Dalhousie Laboratory

Experience:

Background in Chemical Engineering required. Special consideration will be given to applicants with experience in manufacturing scale-up.

What You'll Do

As an R&D Engineer at Infusd, you'll sit at the intersection of cutting-edge formulation science and real-world manufacturing. This is not a bench-only role, as you'll take technologies from lab validation to full industrial execution.

You will:

Own formulation scale-up from lab and pilot scale through to commercial manufacturing, ensuring performance, stability, and repeatability at industrial volumes. Validate and optimize formulations across pilot and production equipment, translating R&D intent into robust, manufacturable processes. Support and oversee production runs at our large scale manufacturing facility in Geneva, NY, including on-site troubleshooting, process monitoring, and continuous improvement. Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, and commercial teams to deliver on major customer programs and strategic partnerships. Develop and refine SOPs, process parameters, and technical documentation to support repeatable, high-quality production. Identify and solve scale-up challenges related to solubility, stability, flow, dispersion, and ingredient performance. Collaborate with leading global partners and customers to tailor formulations for specific applications in food, beverage, and nutrition. Contribute to next-generation platform development, helping shape Infusd's technology roadmap as we rapidly expand capacity and product offerings.
