The KITE Research Institute at University Health Network (UHN) is the research arm of Toronto Rehab. KITE is a world leader in the field of the complex rehabilitation research, with scientists and staff dedicated to improving the lives of people living with the effects of disability, illness and aging. KITE\'s areas of focus include injury prevention, restoration of function, independent living and community integration.Reporting to the Director, Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives and in close collaboration with Director, Fabric-based Research Platform (FIBRE), this role is a unique opportunity to use your background in textiles, fashion technology, operations and project design/delivery to translate the use of smart textiles as vehicles for the delivery of care.We are looking for a team member who is goal-oriented and self-motivated, and who will connect respectfully and meaningfully with scientists, clinicians, learners and staff, as well as external stakeholders.The Research Associate II will be responsible for leading projects in support of FIBRE Operations (including infrastructure/grant support, industry/academic/ecosystem relations), perform activities to support FIBRE Scientists and KITE strategic initiatives that involve design/development/delivery of outreach activations (including, but not limited to, stakeholder relations, educational workshops, make-a-thons, co-design events and networking events).For further information on The KITE Research Institute, please visit our website at www.kite-uhn.com.Duties
