The
Centre for Planetary Health and Sustainable Care
is an interdisciplinary research and training environment committed to exploring the complex interconnections between human health, environmental sustainability, and equitable care systems. We conduct research and education that addresses critical global challenges, fostering solutions that promote the wellbeing of both people and the planet.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Research Associate will work with a multidisciplinary team on a CIHR-funded project to characterize associations between urban environmental quality and birth outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the organization of meetings, workshops and seminars.
Complete literature searches, search strategy and systematic reviews.
Analyze search data, including data management.
Prepare academic publications and reports.
Note
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in resource and environmental management (or related degree).
Experience in literature search and the analytical expertise required to carry out systematic reviews.
Strong written and oral communication and collaboration skills.
Assets
Academic and professional interdisciplinary environmental health and policy experience.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group.
