In the current project, we will evaluate academic literature and policy analysis to explore the needs of gender diverse (i.e., individual who identify themselves within the 2SLGBTQ+ community) incarcerated individuals in federal correctional institutions. Drawing upon prison psychological literature, our goal is to develop a comprehensive understanding of how gender diverse individuals experience spaces of incarceration and the challenges they face in prison and upon release into the community. Social and policy implications and recommendations are expected from the research. Position Requirements
The preferred candidate will be responsible for creating a comprehensive literature review for a research project as outlined below.

Typical Duties include:
  • Conduct a comprehensive literature review
  • Communicate with co-investigators on a regular basis
  • Performs other related duties as required


Preferred Skills & Abilities:
  • Advanced writing skills
  • Prior experience with creating literature reviews
  • Prior experience with policy analysis
  • Time management

The preferred candidate should be enrolled in a certificate or degree in social science, humanities, Indigenous studies, and/or restorative justice. The preferred candidate is required to be enrolled at the University of Regina.
Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419 Salary Range As per CUPE 2419 Collective Agreement Status Casual Work Hours
