Professor Stroh's lab is looking to hire a highly motivated research Assistant 2. The candidate will work on neuroanatomical and super-resolution microscopy research projects in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas Stroh at the Neuro. Within the research objectives set by Dr. Stroh, the successful candidate will plan and develop experiments using histology, immunocytochemistry and unbiased stereology. He/she will autonomously provide support in the planning of research projects, plan and execute staining protocols, perform microscopic analyses of histological section series and image analysis post-image acquisition. If the opportunity arises, he/she will use their background knowledge and experience in microscopy to independently resolve conceptual problems in the experiments and develop new technical and conceptual approaches. He/she will also pass their expertise in these approaches, especially in high-resolution microscopy on to students, trainees and other staff.
