Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking a junior level associate to join our established research and opinions practice group in the firm?s Vancouver, Calgary, Kelowna, or Yellowknife office. This position will be 80% in-office and 20% remote.
This collaborative group carries out complex legal research and analysis across all of the firm?s practice areas, supporting colleagues representing clients in litigation and administrative/regulatory proceedings, as well as colleagues engaged in corporate, commercial, and real estate transactions. Members of the group draft memoranda, submissions and factums, provide contract and statutory interpretation opinions, and are engaged in legal education and professional development activities within the firm.
Required Qualifications:

• One to three year call or greater
• Experience as a research lawyer, law clerk, legal academic, or research assistant at a law school
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Interest and enthusiasm for new and developing areas of law
