An exciting opportunity to join the Reputation Management team at Taylor & Francis. As a Reputation Communications Manager you will help understand, define, defend and strengthen our reputation and use it as a source of competitive advantage to help us achieve our business objectives.

The essence of this role is \xe2\x80\x9cresearch, write and respond\xe2\x80\x9d. Reporting to the Director of Reputation Management, you will research and develop, messaging, positioning statements, Q&As, business reports and other content for proactive and reactive reputational communications.

This exciting and crucial role will see you work closely with our Publishing Ethics & Integrity team, Legal, our Social Media and Press teams, and other corporate communications functions. To succeed, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to build outstanding relationships across the business, but especially in Editorial, Marketing, and Production.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to fully understand, evidence, and summarise issues and provide considered, balanced, recommendations for actions.
  • Acting as first-responder to inbound queries coming primarily from media and social media, drafting responses as necessary, building our capability to respond quickly and consistently as we go.
  • Working collaboratively across the Corporate Communications team\xe2\x80\x94either leading or contributing\xe2\x80\x94to develop messaging and positioning statements on key topics that affect Taylor & Francis\xe2\x80\x99s reputation.
  • Supporting colleagues and teams across the business for communications on reputational issues.
  • Connecting with subject matter experts (internal and external) to inform our positioning.
  • Developing and maintain an accessible, searchable database of approved messaging on key reputational topics in our industry.
Qualifications

What we are looking for:
  • Extensive communications experience: writing/messaging, other content development, planning, campaigns.
  • Good experience and understanding of the academic publishing industry.
  • A first-rate communicator, you have excellent verbal, written and presentational communication skills.
  • Skilled at building relationships, you\xe2\x80\x99re unafraid to knock on doors and able to collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • You work closely with others and embrace collaboration.
  • A strong sense of curiosity. You\xe2\x80\x99re interested in digging into ideas and arguments.
