Based in the city of Quebec and reporting to the department supervisor, the repair technician supports the business unit in achieving the objectives of the service department as part of its analytical device repair department.

Your responsibilities

  • Carry out the diagnostic and repair of analytical devices when returned by ABB customers.
  • Carry out the quality control of these same analyzers.
  • Carry out the final tests, making sure to meet the quality standard.
  • Respect the processes in place.
  • Solve the problematics encountered during repair and testing.
  • Live in accordance with ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.
Your background
  • A diploma of vocational training in the following fields: automated systems electromechanics, stationary machines mechanics, welding-assembly and manufacture of metal structures and fabricated metals, welding-assembly.
  • Diploma of college studies in physics, electronics or an appropriate field is considered an asset.
  • A high school diploma combined with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Have a great capacity for learning and a keen sense of analysis.
  • Demonstrate a high level of autonomy, responsibility, and versatility.
  • Combine high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Be meticulous and skilled manually.
