Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Hand to join our dynamic team. The Repacking/Regrading Lead Hand will ensure the repacking area is prepared and organized for the daily operations. This role work alongside the repacking team to monitor efficiency, coordinate workflow, and communicate with other departments for suppliers and order requirements.

Role and Responsibilities



Lead the "start-up" shifts by setting up the repack area, organizing work orders, and ensuring materials, supplies, and equipment are ready for production. Act as floor supervisor, working alongside the repacking team to maintain efficiency, quality, and adherence to timelines. Coordinate with Buying and Sales teams to ensure product availability and timely order fulfillment. Work closely with the QC Lead Hand on regrading tasks and provide backup support when required. Actively manage manpower allocation for regrading and repacking to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Train and support team members, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety standards. Monitor employee performance, punctuality, and adherence to workplace safety rules. Maintain high standards of workplace organization, cleanliness, and equipment readiness. Identify and resolve workflow or resource issues in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned that align with the role's scope.

Qualifications and Education Requirements



High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics, operations, or related field is an asset. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse, produce handling, or food production environment, including supervisory or lead hand responsibilities. Strong leadership and team coordination skills with the ability to motivate and support staff. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments and levels of staff. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and warehouse management systems. Physically fit and able to work in a cooler environment for extended periods. Ability to work early morning shifts and adjust schedule as operational needs require.

Pay: $21.90-$22.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
