Summary

The Rentals Manager is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Rentals Location at North Parallel. The Rentals Manager gives direction to all aspects of the Rentals Location to ensure targets are met while maintaining excellent customer service standards. The Rentals Manager also has the responsibility of compiling various reports for the National Manager, Rentals addressing the location operations. The Rentals Manager is the first point of contact for addressing and dealing with rental customer complaints and ensuring that customers have an enjoyable experience with the company

As the Lead Management at the location, the Rentals Manager sets a tone consistent with company values, the highest standards of business ethics and a commitment to fair treatment and respect for company staff. Promote a culture of success, discipline, and creativity.

Job Duties
  • Manage local rental fleet and rental supplies.
  • Perform and oversee the various tasks within the Rentals Location (NP), such as front-office activities, preparation of rental units, housekeeping, general upkeep of the rental fleet (maintenance, repairs, and service), Customer Service etc.
  • Conduct administrative duties as required, such as reporting and following up on outstanding tasks.
  • Plan, assign and direct rentals employees and schedule/delegate client transfers and shuttle bus drivers.
  • Address and respond to any concerns or issues within the location.
  • Aid in the preparation of budgets and the monitoring of expenses and financial targets for the Rentals Location (NP).
  • Aid in inspecting department areas and services to ensure compliance with health and safety and other statutory requirements.
  • Supervise and provide advice, support, guidance, and direction to staff; monitor the performance of staff on an ongoing basis; aid in conducting annual performance reviews; and initiate disciplinary action as required.
  • Provide written and verbal reports to the National Manager, Rentals on activities on an ongoing basis and as requested from time to time.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
  • Contribute to the development of the FWRV Group vision and strategy to guide the Rentals Location.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in hospitality operations and business management experience.
  • 2 years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills: Ability to motivate, coach, mentor, and influence all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Financial planning and budgeting experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience in the tourism industry is an asset.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills; Tact, and diplomacy.
  • Team player.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
