This position is for Calgary & surroundings.

Be part of one of fastest growing Renovation Company. We proactively focus on kitchens and bathrooms but do have team/network to deliver other aspects of interior renovations like flooring, wall removals, finishings etc.

Your experience in sales, project management, customer service, customer handling will be very useful. Even though Design is important, but your success is dependent on understanding psychology, client motivations, engagement and managing client expectations.

You can work from your home, but should be available for in-home visits, meetings and for client appointments at our workshop.

Sales, Design & Coordination:

We receive lot of home renovation, kitchen renovation and bathroom renovation enquires from Calgary and surroundings. You will be answering to the enquires and engaging with them.

Respond to their emails and phone calls as soon as possible - study their requirements.

Provide preliminary on phone consultation. Engage the enquiry by offering them optimal ideas for their requirements.

Qualify and validate the enquires over the phone by checking their seriousness and doing a price validation (we will guide you).

After qualifying, book an in-home visit to do the measurements and discuss the ideas at their home. Take detailed notes.

Visit client's homes for in-home measurements and consultations. Sometimes clients prefer evening or weekend visit. You will have flexibility as per your coordination and feasibility.

Show samples to the clients and help them choose colour/design combinations.

Build proposals - template will be provided.

Use design software like Sketchup, 20-20 or Mozaik or any other software, to design a kitchen/bath and send design to the client. If you don't know any design software, we can help you initially.

Follow up with clients and close the deals.

Project Management and Co-ordination:

On confirmation of the deal, work closely with our Cabinet manufacturer to place an order. Coordinate with trades people and suppliers.

Get design confirmations from the clients. On completion do the walk through with the client.

Follow up and see clients are satisfied - remember that happy client means more referrals for you.

See if client needs other renovation services that we provide. Upselling can help you make more commission too.

Candidate Qualifications:

2+ years of experience of selling renovations or cabinets, bath reno or other related home improvement services/products is an asset.

Experience of dealing with cabinets or renovation clients will help you ease into the job. Project management experience in renovations will be handy.

Eye for a design and attention to detail.

Knowledge of the design software will be helpful.

Consultative Sales approach is a must. You should be able to provide consultation and drive towards sales closing.

Have fluid intelligence to handle client's questions and keep them in the flow towards the mutually optimal goal.

You should be willing to drive around the city for in-home visits.

You should have a vehicle and class 5 license or equivalent.

Be a problem solver. Certain projects sometimes need creative solutions. Be nimble and a problem solver.

Driven for growth and scale.

Attention to detail and process oriented.

Willing to work on flexible schedules as some in-home visits happen in the evenings or on weekend (more flexible you are, more the closings you will do)

Selection Process:

Step 1: Resume shortlisting - we will contact the shortlisted candidates.

Step 2: Zoom video call interview - to know your sales, eye for a design and project management skills. Dummy client challenge - we will give you 1-2 client scenarios. You would need to show us your skills in these scenario situations.

Step 3: In-person Meeting

Step 4: Remuneration discussion

Step 5: 2 reference checks

Remuneration:

Total: $68,000-$115,000 + Benefits (extended healthcare, dental etc as per the company policy)

Fixed Yearly Salary: $36,000-$50,000 + Variable Commission: $32,000-$65,000.

Note: Currently our enquiry to deal closing ratio hovers between 7-25%. So on lower end of the closing ratio range too, you can expect a commission of $36,000. If you can handle more enquires, we will give you more enquires, upper cap can be beyond these mentioned numbers too.

Commission accumulation starts as soon as you can start handling the new client enquires independently.
