Problem Solver Wanted; Must Love Swimming Pools
(Sales Consultant Position)
Hey there! We're UV Pools, Winnipeg's trusted pool renovation experts, and we're looking for a nice, kind and smart person to join our team. But first, let's be clear - this isn't your typical sales job.
What This Role Is Really About
Our customers don't need a pushy salesperson; they need someone who can look at their pool, understand their concerns, and guide them toward the best long-term solution.
What Success Looks Like:
Strong quote volume and sales conversion rates
Happy customers who leave glowing reviews
A meticulously maintained sales pipeline
Quick response times to new leads
Accurate proposals delivered on schedule
New leads brought into the fold through your initiative
Your Day-to-Day Life Will Include:
Meeting pool owners in their backyards (their happy place!)
Being the detective who figures out what's really going on with their pool
Educating customers about why quick fixes often lead to bigger headaches
Creating detailed proposals that make sense and solve problems
Building trust through honest, straightforward conversations
Being part of a team that takes pride in doing things right
Talking to new leads (inbound and outbound)
You'll Love This Role If:
You believe in doing things right the first time
You're the kind of person who asks "but why?" instead of just following the crowd
You enjoy teaching others and sharing your knowledge
You take pride in being thorough and detail-oriented
You're comfortable having frank conversations about investment and value
We're Looking For Someone Who:
;)
"Is a detail-oriented, dynamic self-starter and passionate team player with strong communication skills who likes working in a fast-paced environment..." ;)
[insert more cliche's here]
Has a track record of building trust with customers
Is organized and good with details
Can explain complex things in simple terms
Is comfortable using technology for documentation and communication
Ideally has some experience in home improvement, construction, or similar fields (pool experience is a bonus, but not required)
Why UV Pools?
We're Winnipeg's pool renovation experts (doing this for almost 20 years!)
We believe in doing things right, not just doing things cheap
We're constantly improving our processes and systems
We offer competitive pay (base + commission) and benefits
We invest in training and development
A Typical Week Might Include:
Meeting with homeowners to assess their pools
Building detailed quotes using our nerdy quote form
Presenting detailed proposals to customers
Following up with customers who are considering our services
Actively calling new leads (and sometimes visiting them to give them gifts!)
If you're the kind of person who believes in quality, takes pride in helping others, and wants to be part of a team that's known for doing things right, we should talk.
How to Apply:
Send us your resume along with a note telling us about a time you helped someone solve a complex problem. We're more interested in how you think and work than in your specific pool experience.
