Core Responsibilities (What You Will Do)

Provide truly personalized, one-on-one instruction in

Biology

to students, covering everything from fundamental cellular concepts to complex, advanced projects and topics.

Evaluate the distinct learning requirements

of each student and design highly tailored lesson plans that foster a comprehensive grasp of scientific principles and essential methodologies. Conduct engaging and interactive virtual tutoring sessions, strategically incorporating digital resources, simulations, and tools to enrich the learning experience. Systematically monitor students' rapid progress and provide targeted, constructive feedback to accelerate their science skills and critical thinking. Collaborate professionally and seamlessly with staff and other faculty members to ensure comprehensive student success. Maintain absolute currency with the

most up-to-date Ontario biology curriculum standards

and innovative teaching techniques to provide truly cutting-edge educational guidance.

Qualifications and Experience (Let's Talk About You)

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree

in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Life Sciences, Environmental Science, etc.).

Strong knowledge of the Ontario high school biology curriculum

and effective teaching methods is essential. Proficiency in

senior-level biology content

(Grades 11 & 12) is considered a significant asset. Proven ability to develop and organize comprehensive, high-quality lesson materials.

Commanding expertise

and authoritative knowledge across various levels of the subject matter.

Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills

, demonstrating the mastery of conveying complex biological concepts with exceptional clarity. Ability to forge a profound and supportive connection with students, fostering an environment of unparalleled inspiration and motivation.
