JOB STATEMENT

The Reliability Specialist is responsible for providing specialized predictive maintenance and/or supervisory services for the installation/repair of mechanical equipment, primarily mills, kilns, and girth gears. This role is best for a technician that enjoys traveling, learning new things, and wants to pivot into more innovative approaches to industrial maintenance. The Reliability Specialist position requires a talent for working with other people; fellow employees, customers, contractors. Their primary role will be to use cutting-edge digital technology to inspect the girth gears and/or mill shells. The technician can progress from Junior Reliability Specialist, to Senior Reliability Specialist and acts in an advisory or supervisory role while on the job site. Therefore, being safety conscious, hard working, and professional are absolute prerequisites for this role. They will report directly to the Senior Manager, Services.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform technical digital inspections and evaluations and analyze root cause analysis and failure modes.
Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on industrial assets
Promote products and services to customers.
Supervise Field Service projects on customer site.
Complete field inspections per Metso Outotec\xe2\x80\x99s procedures. Escalate questions and analysis to Technical Support and Engineering.
Prepare site reports, time sheets and expenses after site visits.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Red Seal Millright or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
Three (3) years applicable industry, company and products and services knowledge/experience.
Previous experience working with heavy equipment (mineral processing) is an asset.
Prior field service experience is highly preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Autonomous, capable of making decisions, work with minimum supervision.
Good communication skills, spoken and written.
Product knowledge of Global PAM\xe2\x80\x99s offerings.
Capability of making quick, accurate decisions relative to problem solution and problem liability.
Mechanical and/or electrical and instrumentation knowledge and proficiency is a must.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have all physical capabilities such as walking, sitting, proper vision, hearing, speaking, and sense of smell.
Ability to use office and computer equipment.
