Position Summary:

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for managing the preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize the availability and reliability of the mill\'s assets while producing products in the most cost-effective manner.

Job Duties:

  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to identify root causes and designing out the possibility of re-occurrence that affect the lines Overall Equipment Efficiencies
  • Identify opportunities and provide cost-effective solutions to reliability as it relates to paper machine and converting equipment
  • Develop appropriate maintenance/reliability procedures for assets based on failure consequences and conduct failure analysis to determine root cause
  • Be responsible for the management of the lubrication (including oil sample analysis) and the vibration monitoring program and/or other programs for the paper machine and converting assets, including the auditing of their effectiveness
  • Be accountable for the inspection and testing frequencies to monitor equipment and implement preventive/predictive maintenance techniques
  • Provide support for the upgrading of Maintenance Technicians skills regarding preventative/predictive techniques
  • Support equipment installation and start-up activities, providing Engineering leadership to develop a comprehensive database within SAP (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Review equipment and process to identify required spare parts, coordinate ordering with maintenance/stores to minimize downtime, and manage spare parts inventories
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years\' work experience in technical and industrial manufacturing/reliability engineering assignments; or 1-2 years\' work experience in conjunction with formal Reliability Training/Education
  • Working knowledge of preventative maintenance and reliability improvement programs, including root cause failure analysis
  • Experience in troubleshooting mechanical drive systems, general machine design, engineering calculations, packaging equipment and manufacturing support equipment
  • Ability to read and understand machine drawings and/or schematic diagrams

The starting range for this role is is $72,000 to $96,000 or higher, depending on your experience
