Job Description


On target income (OTI) is composed of your base salary + commission/bonus structure. OTI is a forecast of your potential earnings for the role.

For the past 17 years, our client has been providing investors with a diversified portfolio of residential mortgages across Canada.

They have approximately $400M in AUM so far. They are looking for an experienced and motivated Relationship Manager who will help them further develop relationships with advisors to continue to grow the fund.

The position:

  • Take ownership of capital raising efforts via the advisor channel through reaching out to advisors, as well as contributing to the marketing efforts
  • Develop and track business relations and present the income trust fund product to IIROC and EMO across Ontario (and in other provinces if you have existing relationships there)
  • Advise and provide value-add ideas about the firm\'s products & services in order to create advisor buy-in and discover champions of the product
  • Work alongside the fund management team you will develop a strategy to achieve weekly/monthly sales activities objectives
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, other industry events in addition to entertaining advisors to cultivate strong referral relationships
About You:
  • Ideally located in the GTA
  • 5+ years of relevant work experiences in External Sales Wholesaling, Financial Planning, Personal Banking or sales for REIT firms
  • Have a good understanding of intermediary advisory sales and the investment market, and a specialized knowledge from education and business experience/advisor relationships in the GTA
  • Proven and demonstrated track record of a structured sales process and executing a sales strategy with measurable results
  • Self-motivated with strong self-management ability
  • Capable of applying information about the economy, competitor products and services and other financial information to influence sales
