We are a 100% employee-owned, values-driven company that is looking for a talented regulatory professional to join our growing team. Diversity and inclusion are key pillars of our organization, and we are proud to be majority female founded.

As a member of our growing team, you will join a dynamic, supportive environment that fosters learning, teamwork, and professional development. In joining a young and rapidly growing company, you will have the opportunity to not only make a difference to clients and contribute meaningfully to projects but you will also be able to shape LEGACY, our culture, and our success.

Position Overview:

LEGACY is seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Regulatory Coordinator, based in the Lower Mainland area to support our British Columbia operations. The successful candidate will have strong information management, team coordination, and document compilation skills to effectively support federal and provincial regulatory processes and applications. Experience and knowledge of the human, physical, or biological environment--and how projects interact with these elements--is an added asset.

If you have experience in the environmental consulting industry and knowledge of federal and provincial regulatory processes, we encourage you to apply for this role.

Responsibilities:

As a Regulatory Coordinator in the Environmental Impact Assessment team, your role is expected to include, but not be limited to, the following:

Supporting the coordination and tracking of environmental compliance information and data. Supporting preparation of environmental assessment deliverables. Supporting and coordinating the LEGACY team in preparing reports and regulatory submissions. Managing day-to-day regulatory processes including critical thinking and problem solving to achieve team objectives. Checking and reviewing your work prior to submission to internal quality review. Reviewing baseline environmental and socioeconomic reports. Working with regulatory and environmental guidance and established practices. Interacting in a team environment to prepare deliverables for our clients. Interacting with clients during the execution and management of projects. Supporting the preparation of proposals and work plans to win new work. Implementing health and safety and quality policies. Liaising with regulatory agencies regarding environmental permitting matters. Managing projects, including budget tracking, invoicing, and client reporting.

Qualifications:

To be successful and thrive in this role, we expect the following qualifications and attributes will be necessary:

A bachelor's degree or similar in the social, human, physical or biological sciences, environmental engineering, or a related discipline. Entry-level to five years of relevant experience (preferably in British Columbia). Strong organizational skills and work ethic with excellent attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. A willingness to learn and adapt. Budget management acumen. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Project or similar applications.

Benefits:

A hybrid work environment allowing you to alternate your location between our downtown Vancouver office or your home office location. Opportunities for personal growth and professional development. Dynamic and supportive team culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and growth. Competitive starting salary in the range of $60,000 to $75,000, annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Note:

If your academic and professional experience is different to what is described above, but you are confident you would excel in this role, please apply!
