The Paul-André Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparative Law is looking for a candidate to fill a full-time position of Research-Assistant within its team. The Research Assistant will participate in all of the Crépeau Centre's activities, thus contributing to the influence and development of the Quebec civil law tradition.
Position Summary:
The Research Assistant will perform various tasks such as :
- Research and writing for the Private Law Dictionary and Bilingual Lexicons - Persons project; - Drafting of lexicographical notes relating to terms used in the law of persons; - Research in Quebec private law; - Assisting the Centre's student researchers in their research; - Editing, revision and translation work; - Development of podcasts on private law topics; - Assistance in the organization of scientific events (e.g., Civil Law Workshops, Institute of Jurilinguistics).
Qualifications:
Candidates should have the following qualifications :

  • Member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec;
  • Strong interest in civil and private law, notably in law of persons;
  • Interest in legal research and writing;
  • Proficient in French and English;
  • Autonomy, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail and thoroughness.















Hourly Salary: $28.44
