Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Boundary Animal Hospital - Burnaby, BC

Position:

Part-time, Full-time, or Locum

Wage:

$30 - $35 per hour

Boundary Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

to join our growing team. We are a CVBC-accredited hospital dedicated to providing exceptional care for our patients and outstanding service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform dental procedures, including dental radiographs and assisting in COHATs (Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment)

- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgery

- Establish IV catheterization, provide fluid therapy, and administer medications/injections

- Collect samples, perform laboratory tests, and maintain in-house diagnostic equipment

- Take and develop X-rays, assist in diagnosing and treating animal health disorders

- Provide nursing care and post-operative monitoring

- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure smooth clinical workflow

- Educate and communicate with clients about patient care, treatment plans, and preventative health

Qualifications:

- Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing with the CVBC - Experience in dentistry and anesthesia is highly preferred

- Excellent technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

- Compassionate and professional approach to both patients and clients

- Team player with a strong work ethic
