Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker to join our holistic team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience working with mental health, ideally in a private practice setting. The candidate will be responsible for case management, patient care, and charting to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities

Conduct consultations to provide overview of services and convert to clients. Conduct intake and follow-up therapy sessions. Provide evidence-based, trauma-informed, holistic care to patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on consultations and intakes. Provide direct support and counselling to patients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Manage cases effectively, ensuring follow-up and continuity of care. Utilize psychological terminology accurately in documentation and communication. Advocate for patients' rights within the healthcare system.

Requirements

Significant experience working with trauma is preferred. Significant experience in nervous system regulation and somatic practices in preferred. Previous private practice experience is highly desirable. Strong background in case management practices. Familiarity with nature-based or ecopsychology theories. Knowledge of psychological terminology is essential for effective communication. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. A masters-level degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required, along with appropriate licensure as mandated by Ontario regulations.

We are a group practice located on Locke St in downtown Hamilton. We serve clients aged 12+ with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and more. We value collaboration, community, and lived experience. We believe therapy is more than just talking through challenges. We value a bottom-up approach and seek to help clients explore the root of their challenges.

What we are looking for

An experienced (5+ years) therapist, who can provide trauma-informed, nervous-system-based, holistic therapy in in-person, virtual, and walk & talk nature-therapy settings. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in treating trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, and nervous system burnout. Preference will be given to applicants who are familiar with IFS, somatic interventions, ecotherapy, core beliefs work, and related interventions.

This position will be casual to start as we build a caseload. Ideally, we are seeking our applicant to have three half days to offer each week, offering a max of 10 sessions per week.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $87.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 10 per week
