Job Description

The C2 Centre for Brain Health is an established private psychology and neuropsychology practice in Barrie, Ontario that provides psychological assessment and support to adults and older adults for a wide range of neurocognitive and mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and trauma, using an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to individual client needs.

We are looking for an experienced psychotherapist to provide both in-person and virtual therapy to adult clients at our beautiful Barrie office, on a part-time basis, with potential for up to full-time hours with time. The therapist would be directly supervised by Dr. Correne De Carlo, a registered clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist in Ontario. Ideal candidates are those who have been trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and mindfulness-based interventions and are open to providing therapy for a wide range of presenting issues, and open to being supervised yet maintaining a level of independent practice. Opportunities to be supervised in the provision of schema therapy, group therapy, and neuropsychological - informed therapeutic intervention are available, as well as involvement in assessment services, depending on interest and suitability, given the nature of the practice.

Contractor position, with hours ranging from Part-Time to Full-Time

Salary: Between

$80 - 120 / hour.

The Role:



The C2 Centre for Brain Health is looking for an experienced psychotherapist who can provide support to adults and older adults, with a focus on trauma work. We are looking for a candidate who is willing to grow and be supported on our team. Schedule is flexible and can expand with time and experience. Experience with providing CPT is a must.

Qualifications and Education:



Required full registration with the CRPO. A minimum of a Master's degree in psychotherapy, psychology, counselling or equivalent. Knowledge and experience in CBT and CPT is required. Ability and experience in working with adults, with experience working with older adults or traumatic brain injury an asset Ability to commute to work, when required. English fluency

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



Provide direct therapy to individuals, with availability for in-person work essential, alongside virtual care, as needed. Provide psychotherapy support to at least 10 clients a week at a gradual build. Conduct initial client consultations (no charge to the client) and engage in ongoing therapeutic assessment, conceptualization, and treatment planning. Support clients in identify goals and practicing strategies for achieving their goals by utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities which match the client's needs. Evaluate the treatment of services by working collaboratively with clients (including but not limited to the practice of seeking feedback from clients to determine overall experience of therapy) and offering any appropriate changes to the work in effort to facilitate outcomes in the best interest of client. Work in collaboration with other community resources as required. Attend and participate in ongoing clinical supervision as per college requirements. Reply to client inquiries via email and phone, within a timely manner (1-2 business days) Ensure accurate, thorough and timely recording of all client information including: session activity notes, reports, correspondence of consented 3rd parties, legal forms, while ensuring all information is up-to-date and continually documented. (Must be completed within 24 hours of contact, ideally immediately following contact) Client scheduling and calendar organization. Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work space

Schedule:

Up to the therapist and in-person sessions to be scheduled in conjunction with Dr. De Carlo in terms of space availability. Ability to provide in-person services is essential given need in the community.
