Role Overview



We are seeking a highly skilled

Registered Psychologist

who specialises in neurodevelopmental assessment specially autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in conducting thorough assessments (cognitive, behavioural, developmental, diagnostic) for clients across the lifespan (children, adolescents, and adults). You will be the lead assessor for autism/ASD-related evaluations within CPC Clinics, working collaboratively with other team members (therapists, SLPs, occupational therapists, school consultants) and liaising with clients, families and external stakeholders (schools, workplaces, physicians).

Key Responsibilities



Conduct comprehensive neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) across the lifespan, including initial intake, testing, interpretation and feedback. Administer, score and interpret gold-standard diagnostic measures (e.g., Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2nd Edition (ADOS?2), Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised (ADI?R)), adaptive functioning tools, cognitive tests and relevant behavioural/emotional inventories. Canadian Paediatric Society Conduct cognitive (IQ), adaptive behaviour, learning-profiles and comorbid-condition assessments as needed (e.g., ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety). Write clear, comprehensive, strength-based reports that integrate assessment data into actionable recommendations (for home, school, workplace, community). Provide feedback sessions with clients and families to explain assessment results, recommendations and next-steps in a compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming manner. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members (speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, school personnel, external physicians) to ensure implementation of recommendations and continuity of care. Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., College of Alberta Psychologists - CAP). Stay current with best practices, research, and guidelines in ASD assessment and neurodevelopmental diagnostics. Qualifications & Credentials



Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, or Developmental) from an accredited institution. Registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) or equivalent professional regulator in Alberta. CPA+1 Demonstrated expertise in autism spectrum disorder assessment: training and reliability certification in ADOS-2 and ADI-R (or equivalent), plus experience in neurodevelopmental diagnostics. Strong experience conducting full-breadth assessments (neurodevelopmental, cognitive, adaptive, behavioural) across age-ranges. Excellent report-writing skills, with the ability to translate assessment findings into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse settings (school, work, home). Skilled in collaborating with families, schools, and allied professionals, with strong communication, organization and time-management skills. Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to culturally responsive, neurodiversity-affirming assessment practices. Self-motivated, independent, and responsive to communications (emails, scheduling, client queries). Ability to provide services in an office-based environment, with some remote/virtual flexibility.

Preferred/Asset Skills



Experience or training in adult ASD assessment as well as child/adolescent presentations (recognising under-diagnosis in later life). Familiarity with school and workplace accommodations processes and collaboration with educational or occupational stakeholders. Experience offering both assessment and therapeutic follow-up services (though assessment focus remains primary). Operational experience with private-practice assessment workflow (scheduling, billing, report templates, clinic workflows).
