Spirit Psychological is a private practice based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a team-focused practice supporting across the lifespan, we work together to provide an exceptional level of care to our clients, big and small.
We are currently seeking a
Registered Psychologist (or Candidate Register) to join our Core Team on a full-time basis.
Our Core Team is comprised of Registered Psychologists and Registered Counselling Therapists working alongside other team members who provide speech-language pathology and intensive learning supports for literacy, math, ADHD and executive functioning. We are proud to offer specialized literacy intervention based in the Orton-Gillingham approach, both in-house and on-line.
Regardless of area of practice, our entire team works together to ensure that every client walking through our door receives the best possible care. We accompany our clients through challenges to wellness, skillfully advocating for their needs using our collective years of experience in both educational and health systems. Where possible, we focus on not only our client but the systems within which they function.

and are interested in furthering your knowledge and skills in trauma-sensitive practices
understand and can recognize the impact of mental health concerns on functioning
(like anxiety, depression, etc) and clearly understand your abilities in aiding clients within your scope of practice. We realize that this may differ across candidates, depending on their declared areas of practice, supervision and experience.
Practically, you:
have some knowledge of client management platforms
such as OwlPractice or Jane, or are willing to learn
are comfortable with
seeing clients both in-person and remotely
possess an
ability to multi-task
and
maintain personal productivity

excellent communication skills

can work collaboratively with an administrative assistant
regarding billing, scheduling and other needs you may have to optimize your work.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $225.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
