Occupational Therapist - Mental Health (Hybrid Role: Virtual/In-Person)

Mind & Motion Therapy Inc. is seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in a hybrid virtual/in-person role. We specialize in providing client-centered care in the private sector, helping individuals with mental health challenges and concurrent physical injuries return to meaningful and fulfilling lives.
About the Role:
As a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients who are navigating occupational stress injuries, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, PTSD, and concurrent conditions such as concussion or brain injuries. You will play a key role in empowering clients to develop coping strategies, rebuild routines, and achieve their goals.
This role offers significant flexibility, allowing you to create a schedule that works for you while making a meaningful impact. Mentorship is available, along with ongoing support for professional growth and continuing education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide assessment and treatment planning for clients experiencing mental health and cognitive challenges.
Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Prolonged Exposure Therapy, to support clients with PTSD and other disorders.
Training in other mental health treatment modalities would be an asset.
Training in ADHD assessment and treatment would be an asset.
Develop and implement client-centered therapy plans to address occupational performance goals.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, insurers, and other stakeholders.
Document and communicate clinical findings and progress in accordance with best practices.
Support clients in their return-to-work and daily living goals.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with ACOT.
Experience working in mental health, with a focus on anxiety, depression, PTSD, and adjustment disorders.
Proficiency in Prolonged Exposure Therapy is a strong asset.
Familiarity with concussion and brain injury rehabilitation is preferred.
Experience working with the Workers' Compensation Board is an asset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
