Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Center has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) throughout the hospital as a Float Nurse! The Emergency Department, as well as the medical units require a flexible and experienced RN to join our team. You will demonstrate genuine interest and respect for our patients and utilize your knowledge, skills, and abilities to competently provide direct patient and family centered care. You may also be required to share your skills and experience on the acute care units. Wetaskiwin is located 70 km south of Edmonton in the heart of Central Alberta. The city name comes from the Cree word which means \xe2\x80\x9cthe hills where peace was made\xe2\x80\x9d. You can take a self-guided tour through the historic downtown and read about the peace cairn that commemorates sixty years of peace between the Blackfoot and the Cree. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $35.17/hour - $42.96/hour ($35.87/hour - $43.82/hour effective April 1, 2023). Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
