Your Opportunity:

Vermilion\'s Home Care team is looking for a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people in your community by collaborating in the delivery of holistic, client and family centre care. Working within the full scope of practice and according to home care policies and procedures, you will need strong assessment skills and clinical expertise to deliver quality nursing care within the catchment area of Vermilion Home care from the Saskatchewan border to Innisfree and from the county of Wainwright border to Tullaby Lake. Also, it will entail wound care and Ostomy management, as well as drains, pics, vacs etc. although full training provides so prior experience is desirable but not essential. Vermilion is a thriving community of 4150, approximately 60 kilometres west of Lloydminster and 192 kilometres east of Edmonton. Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $35.17/hour - $42.96/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable. Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Case Management, Wound care, Fast Paced Environment, On-call required 1615-0800, Vehicle required, CPR required, Professional registration required. Preferred Qualifications:

Palliative Care, HPT, Wound Care, Lower Limb Assessor / Assessments, ALC assessing & planning, becoming an AADL authorizer.
