To support us on our journey, Sinai Health System is looking for a Registered Nurse to support our Operating Room team at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus. This unit does approximately 9,000 cases per year in their 11 rooms. Specialties utilizing the Operating Room/Cysto are General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Otolaryngology, Lasers, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery and Orthopaedics - both Reconstructive and Sarcoma. The Operating Room has 3 "state of the art" MIS suites. Many of the Registered Nurses working in our Operating Room have registered certification in perioperative nursing CPN(C) with the Canadian Nurses’ Association.
Job Requirements

  • Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • 1 - 2 years experience in the Perioperative setting (preferred)
  • Current BCLS
  • Successful completion of a post graduate Perioperative Nursing Certificate program
  • BScN (preferred)
  • Commitment to professional practice and personal development
  • Commitment to shared leadership and team based decision making
  • Demonstrated excellent critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to patient and family centred care
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
