In this role, you will be working on assisting in the collection of blood and blood products.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing confidential donor screening and provides donor with information, instruction and advice on blood donation
• Ensuring collection equipment and supplies are adequate and in good working order
• Ensuring the safety and comfort of donor during and following collection
• Guiding and assisting donor centre staff and volunteers performing donor and product related activities
• Ensuring that all required documentation is carried out

Education, Training, and Experience:

• A licensed Registered Nurse, able to practice in the province of employment
• 1-3 years\' experience
• Computer skills including word processing
• Previous experience as a preceptor and/or coaching others to enhance job performance an asset
• First Aid and CPR certification an asset
• Previous experience in a regulatory environment an asset
• Previous experience in a blood collection environment an asset
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered

Additional Information:

This is a LMM/Surrey Float line. Work days alternate, including stat holidays. Start/stop times; 0800-1715, 0915-1715, 0945-1745, 1000-1715, 1045-1845, 1145-1945, 1230-1930, 1245-2000, 1245-2045, 1245-1915. Rest days: Sunday/Monday or Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday or Thursday/Friday or Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday.
